DESCRIPTION:Linda Houser is a new member of our club and a lifelong Washingtonian who spent 37 years at Boeing\, retiring from Sales & Marketing with responsibility for the China region. Throughout his career\, he has served in patrol\, training\, recruiting\, media relations\, and command-level leadership roles. \nCory is a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico\, Virginia — a nationally recognized leadership program that brings together senior law enforcement leaders from across the United States and around the world. DESCRIPTION:We will hear from fellow Rotarian Linda Houser\, a dedicated genealogy volunteer and retired Boeing aerospace professional. When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted many of her retirement plans\, Linda redirected her time and energy toward a longstanding passion: family history research. \nLinda’s interest in genealogy began more than 16 years ago while researching her own ancestry. During her search on Ancestry\, she discovered a photograph of her grandparents’ headstone taken by a volunteer who documented burial sites for researchers. Inspired by the impact of that single act of service\, Linda began photographing headstones to support others tracing their family histories. \nSince then\, Linda has photographed 214\,835 cemetery headstones across the United States and internationally\, including sites in Paris\, Poland\, Havana\, and Italy. \nIf you can’t make the meeting in person\, join us on Zoom.\nLaunch Meeting – Zoom
